Bienvenido, I’m Taz!

I was born and raised in London, UK and my parents are of Indian and Singaporean descent. After graduating and spending a couple of years travelling, I decided to book a one-way ticket across the Atlantic in 2018 – I now reside in Toronto, Canada. It was honestly the best decision I ever made! To this day, I’ve been fortunate enough to visit 33 countries and 74 cities, but there is still so much more to see!

To briefly introduce myself, I am a Law graduate and travel enthusiast who has lived in four different countries (England, Spain, Barbados and Canada). I have a Bachelors in Law, and I studied Criminology with Forensic Psychology for my Masters. Some of my hobbies include kickboxing, playing pool and, of course, travelling, and I feel strongly about criminal & racial injustice, penology and human rights. This particular platform, however, is solely related to travel.

I created this space to share my thoughts, experiences and travel tips with all of you in the global travel community. How I spend my time in different cities depends on where I’m going, how long I’m going for, and my financial situation at the time. Travelling on a budget is definitely doable and I can tell you how to get more out of less, no matter where you are! Adventure awaits at every corner :).

My first ever time abroad was to Vancouver when I was a child – my family and I actually lived there for just under a year. I went on many vacations over the years but my thirst for travel was fully ignited after my year of studying abroad. I was fortunate enough to spend one semester in Barbados and one semester in Madrid – both so rich in culture, yet so completely different from one another. I met many people, faced many challenges and made some unforgettable memories. I plan on taking every possible opportunity to see the world, one city at a time. I tend to visit a new city every month – whether by plane or by bus – because I just can’t stay put for too long!
